When i submit a Pell Grant application and filled my FAFSA, i omitted to include my Veteran Non-Education Benefits, wherever they were required by the Financial Aid Provider. I didn’t include the veteran education benefits in both VA office and FAFSA. I didn’t wrote the amounts. Hence i was awarded the Pell grant, and they directly gave me the check with full amount of Pell Grant. Three is a big question May i cash the Pell Grant Check, while i have been trying very hard to approach my school, but the administration of the school is not giving any answer or calling me back.
Pell Grants Money and Veteran Non-Education Benefits:
According to my personal point of view, you should contact your financial aid office before doing any thing like going to bank for getting cash against check. Humbly you should approach the Financial Aid Office to make correction in FAFSA. The amount awarded through Pell Grant will still remain the same, and the only thing you should do contact your school administration or accounts department.
You should go to the Financial Aid office for making correction in the FAFSA, and on question 44h, you must give the right answer regarding Veteran Noneeducation benefits, such as death pension, disability. You should also make correction in Dependency & Indemnity Compensation (DIC) and Va Educational Work-Study Allowances clauses in order to regularize your Pell Grant award.

In FAFSA, there are so many questions, and you must write the answers of all the question in Yes or No. On Question 49, where you are asked to give the answer about the Veteran of U.S. Armed Forces, you must provide the right answer. Hence the only thing you do in these circumstances is to make the FAFSA corrections by going to the Financial Aid Office. This will help you in getting cash on account of your Pell Grant award.
